Mr. Paul Manuel Dayenian's Obituary
Paul Manuel Dayenian answered God’s call on July 31, 2023, at the Veterans Home in Oxford, Mississippi surrounded by members of his loving family. Mr. Dayenian was born on June 28, 1928, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Manuel and Vartuie (Rose) Dayenian in Waukegan, IL. Paul served 8 years in the United States Army where he was assigned to the White Sands New Mexico Project. Following his military service, he worked in the engineering division of the Outboard Marine Corporation where he retired from. In his spare time Paul loved working on cars and dabbling with wood-working projects. His passion was working on any project in his garage. Over the years, he crafted many tables and shelves for family members, but his favorite pet project was a 1939 Chevy – equipped with a Corvette fuel injected motor, air ride suspension, hand carved (by Paul) Egyptian Mohogany dashboard and instrument panel, along with too many other custom enhancements to name.
For the past few years, the highlight of Paul’s day has been holding hands with Shirley and praying for everyone in the family. Paul gladly accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior and wanted to please him in all that he did.
He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife Shirley to whom he shared a wonderful 28 years of marriage with; one brother Steve Dayenian; three daughters Sharon Bertrand (Jim Merlo), Diane Wido (Joe), and Jeannie Dayenian; five grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; Paul will also be mourned by Shirley’s daughters Julie Polheber (Bruce), and Janet Luna (Ivan) and 4 additional grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren whom he has always accepted and loved as his own; 1 nephew and 1 niece.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 3, 2023, at King’s Gate Worship Center located at 2018 W. Jackson St., Tupeo, MS 38801. The family will receive friends and guests starting at 1:30 PM and the memorial service will start at 2:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Paul’s honor to Sanctuary Hospice House at 5159 W. Main St, Tupelo, MS.
